I love trying out new beauty products whether it's for my hair or face, or if it's cheap or the occasional splurge. In preparation for when I get my hair cut next week, I went out to get some hair dye but ended up with a little extra.

I always though that the day I discovered my favourite quote it would be from some piece of classic literature like Gatsby or from inspirational figure like Einstein, whose words changed our perception of the world today. But instead, they actually come from a modern day teenage girls book. It's excellent may I add, not just your typical cheesy chic-flick.

"She never looked nice. She looked like art, and art wasn't supposed to look nice; it was supposed to make you feel something." -Eleanor and Park - Rainbow Rowell.

It makes you feel all warm inside right? Well it does to me anyway. With a mixture between the thousands of different interpretations that could arise from this quote and the reference of comparing love to art, my heart was soon stolen and I have started to engrave this into every notebook I own.

My interpretation or wild thoughts on this may be different to others, but the way in which I view this is the reason I love it so.

She never looked nice in the conventional way that everyone finds appealing, she was herself and through how she was presented you could see that. Just like how not all art is appealing to everyone but some artists create pieces to express their feelings, their memories, their passions in life. Some people understand this art and see beauty in the artists style because they feel a connection of understanding or it just catches their eye and makes them want more. In the quote, he saw past just the image and into who she was and he got the real emotion behind the art and from that got drawn in and connected. It shows that it doesn't matter what someone looks like, as they are an expression of themselves and someone will see that and fall in love with the way that they are distorted from societies ideal.

For months I have struggled to find someone that sells gemstones and such at such decent prices, and now I have I shall never look back.

I don't think I have ever kept a new years resolution. I used to try and give up chocolate....always lasted about a month, I tried to stop drinking so much tea...lasted a week, if that. BUT this year I am going to keep at least half of my new years resolutions. I WILL! I've made a list of a few that I am particularly determined to keep because I know if I can, all these big changes will make me a whole lot happier. So, here we go...

• Holla for That Dollar : I went through a stage last year for about 2 months were I actually successfully saved money but since then I've been tragic. Within 5 days all my Christmas money had gone and once again I am broke. This year I have decided to make the resolution of actually having more money for useful and much needed purposes. I need to start keeping the pounds close so I can save up for a gap year (hopefully end of next year), save up for driving lessons,save up for a tattoo (FINALLY) and also so I learn to only spend money when absolutely necessary. It would be nice for a change to actually have money for longer than a month. *I can't believe I actually used the word 'Holla'.

• UK ROADTRIP 2K15 : Okay so I'm not planning on going on a roadtrip, I just need to try and go out more and take trips to more places. Finally, for once, I have a solid group of friends and have generally socialized more than usual, so it would be a good time to start this trend. Me and my two best girls, Izzy and Tess, have an annual trip to Devon, which after last years success is something we are going to aim to do for as long as we can. As well as that, I plan on going on more day trips. It may be as simple as going to a park or a forest walk, or it could be something like a trip to London or Brighton. But whatever it is, as long as I get out more that's all that matters.

• Organisation is KEY : I like to call my personality and space 'An Organised Chaos'. There are certain things that I am very organised with, for example my books and folders are neat and organised, my desk and room are organised, but in general my life and mindset is all over the place. When it comes to deadlines and committing to things it's a shambles. I need to try and be more practically organised rather than organised which is pleasing to the eye shall we say.

• One Push Up, Two Push Up...and Collapse : My biggest goal is definitely to improve my fitness, be more healthy, and lose weight. I refuse to be one of those people who say they will go to the gym and then cancel their membership of the 2nd of January. I have never been someone to be body positive and happy with the way I am. After years of saying I'll change, I am more determined than ever too. I have been vegan for a while and at the start of my diet I lost some weight but since then I have found the non-healthy vegan food and my fitness is slowly going down. I'm changing this back to a completely healthy vegan diet, detox water, detox tea and daily workouts. Not only is this for that 'bikini body' goal but for my general happiness.

• "The Road To Success Comes Through Hard Work, Determination and Sacrifice" : This kind of fits in with organisation because if I actually plan things successfully I might be able to get them done in time and to the best quality I can. The hard work and determination is basically for college and this blog. Especially in the last year I have really been slacking at school generally because at the moment I hate being in education. Somehow it's just not for me and not what my mind is focusing on right now. I need to try and get out of this mindset and crack on and do my work to the best of my ability. My blog is basically, that now I have got it going I am determined to keep it going and make it as successful as I can. Too many times have I tried and failed.

• Call Me The Next Bridget Jones : I have always loved the idea of keeping a journal/diary but never actually done so. the longest I have is for 2 months then I gave in. I think the key for me is that I need to keep a journal where posts are only a few lines long rather than pages and pages on what's happened that day. Maybe if I just write something I've learned or realized that day, or a little snippet of what's happened I might actually make the effort.

• The Two Jars : I need an easy way to keep memories and keep positive. And what better way than by using jars. In one jar I am going to put pieces of paper in everyday with one good thing/memory that happened that day, this way I will always be able to remember even the smallest details. The other jar will have pieces of paper with positive quotes on. I need to be a more positive person and on my quest to do this, everyday I will find a positive quote and place it in here.

Detox tea's have become the craze recently as everyone seems to be feeling the want to start their way to that bikini perfect, slimmed down body. It seems that everywhere I look someone is detoxing whether it's on my Instagram (cheeky plug) or Kendall Jenner's Detox Diet , and as expected I became intrigued. With so many different brands to choose from I spend hours searching up reviews and flicking through all the different teas. Finally I settled for Fruiteatox.

Fruiteatox do daytox, sleeptox and teatox (daytox & sleeptox) packages. I chose the 28 Day Teatox Package to try out (although I'm only doing 14 days...I'm sharing the other half with my mum). The Daytox is a lemon detox tea with the ingredients Ginseng, Ginger Root, Yerba Mate, Liqourice Root, Tie Kuan Yin Oolong, Lemon Grass, Fennel Seeds, Lemon Peel and Lemon Oil. I'm a massive fan of anything with Lemon in it. The Sleeptox is an orange detox tea which includes Chamomile, Senna, Valerian Root, Hawthorn Leaves, Lavender, Orange Peel and Orange Oil. Orange is always a great flavour and I was intrigues by the lavender as well.

I received my package on Thursday and started it on Friday morning. If you leave the teabag in whilst drinking it (after the 3-5 minute brewing time) the flavour really stands out and is a refreshing way to start the morning. I found after the second time using it that I no longer felt peckish during the day and wasn't as hungry when it came to lunch.
I waited until Saturday night to try the Orange Sleeptox as you are supposed to take it every other night due to the mild laxative effect it may have. I'm fussy when it comes to Lavender and although the smell is very strong, the taste isn't (you may think so though due to the smell), and I actually enjoyed this drink. It was a great drink to have before bed and I've only ever heard good things about night detox's.

Along with the tea I have been doing the eating and exercise plan. Something that really attracted me to Fruiteatox was the Vegan Eating Plan it supplies. Alot of eating plans I noticed that although they didn't involve meats some involved fish or other substances that weren't suitable to a vegan diet. This however had a whole other eating plan which I loved. The exercise plan is also simple and easy to do and find time for.

If you don't have the extra money to buy and download the eating and exercise plans there are plenty of other alternatives online on other detox tea websites and online in general.

At the end of this detox I will be doing a review on this detox and sharing my feelings and results on this tea.
