E.L.F Cosmetics Haul + First Impressions
17:25
In an attempt to change all my makeup to vegan and cruelty free products, I ended up with hardly anything, so, knowing that E.L.F is an affordable range with all vegan and cruelty free cosmetics I wanted to buy quite a few products to try and build up my collection again. 15 days later they have finally arrived so now I can do a little haul and first impressions. All the products and links will be listed below.
E.L.F's Flawless Finish Foundation was my main purchase in this haul. I like the frosted bottle which makes the foundation appear a little more expensive, although it doesn't distract you from the little product you get and unfortunately it doesn't go a long way. A foundation/buffing brush would definitely be better for applying this product than a beauty blender as it's quite a thick formula. I did get an even and semi-flawless coverage though, so I was happy with the finish in the end. I got the shade Porcelain, and although it wasn't as pale as I'd hoped it wasn't a bad match at all.
The High Definition Powder is the first loose powder I have tried and I actually really like it. I was worried about how white the powder was when I first opened it but the product was so lightweight and translucent leaving a soft looking finish to my skin. Although I probably won't use the fluffy pad that comes with it, it's a nice touch and great to use if you're resting your fingers on your face when doing makeup.
Unfortunately I purchased the wrong shade on the Maximum Coverage Concealer and as it's way to dark for me I only tested it on my hand so I could give some sort of review. It seems to have a pretty high coverage but not a heavy finish so I think if I had got it in my shade it would have worked really well for my under eyes and blemishes. I might try this out for contouring instead.
E.L.F's Baked Bronzer is the first bronzer I have bought in a long time as as much as I love them, I a very particular with the shades because I don't like them to be too dark. I got the shade St Lucia which is a very gentle brown. The product is very lightly pigmented so it doesn't make your face too dark, it just adds a gentle tan which I really like. It also definitely has a highlighting quality to it, maybe more so than bronzing.
The last two things are E.L.F Essential Lipsticks in the shades Nostalgic and Fearless. Nostalgic is a really pale pink colour that looked way more nude on the website. I really didn't like this colour or lipstick as it stiff to apply and the colour was awful, when the pigmentation finally came through it looked like that awful phase where girls put concealer on their lips. Fearless however is a bright red shade which I actually really liked. After a few coats the colour really builds and I found it lasted a long time. I'm not normally a fan of not matte lips but I really liked the shine on this shade.

My plan for this year is to start a Youtube Channel. It would be so much easier when it comes to hauls because it doesn't matter as much if I ramble on. Who would watch? x

Tried elf cosmetics a while back and for the price you can't complain! The bronzer looks gorgeous, you should do a review on it! Xx
