Over the past few weeks, and maybe month, I've been slowly collecting new pieces of clothing for the summer and my holidays. It's taken me a while and I still have a dose of last minute shopping to do but I thought I'd share with you what i have got so far and hopefully give you some inspiration.

Vans is one of my favourite brands. I love the shoes, the clothes and even their accessories. They've just added loads of new designs which along with some of their older, more classic items have me wishing my bank account wasn't so empty...

Up until now I've always skimmed past blusher or made little effort with it in my make-up routine. But with spring past and summer here I really wanted to start adding it to give myself a new healthy glow.

Having hear goods things about the Natural Collection blushes I thought I'd give them ago. When I first got into make-up they where my go to brand especially for mascara, so I knew it wouldn't hurt to go back to an old, favourite brand.

I picked up the blusher in the Pink Cloud. They are so well pigmented for the cheap price of £1.99 and i'm very impressed. They also blend out nicely and give a natural blush to your cheeks. There's slight orange undertones but only very subtle as to not make the whole colour to bright.

For someone who isn't a massive go to blush person as I think some can be very striking, I am really impressed with this.

Now that my holiday filled August is approaching I thought it was about time I headed on down to pick up my summer toiletries. I went a bit overboard in Superdrug (my FAVOURITE highstreet drugstore - racking up them points) and got pretty much everything I need, and maybe this will give you some inspiration and what to get for your holidays.



If you're like me in the heat your never fails to fall flat, so I always need a volumising Shampoo and Conditioner. What always work best for me is the TRESemme 24 Hour Body and Volume Shampoo and Conditioner. I've previously mentioned this in a favourites post and it's slowly made it's way into my routine once again.

With the beach and being outside a lot in the summer I don't get to lazy when it comes to washing my hair but it's always handy to have Batiste Dry Shampoo for that little extra boost of texture and volume.

I'm not someone who goes for the fancy shower gels like Body Shop or Soap & Glory, I like to keep it simple and Palmolive is one of my favourite brands. They have loads of amazing scents and it never fails to keep my skin soft and fresh.

If you're getting your legs out alot in the summer you can't afford to only use conditioner and water when it comes to shaving your legs, you need to keep them as moisturized as possible. Gilette's Satin Care is great and with aloe vera it adds that little bit extra care to your skin.

Sun lotion is possibly one of my most loved things about the summer. The smell is my favourite scent of all time. Although the traditional scent is lacking in Piz Buin the quality is certainly all their and although I only need to use a low factor but I like to make sure my coverage is good and skin is protected as best as it can.

After watching one of Niomi Smart's recent videos where her and her family share their beauty secrets I thought I would give Johnson's Baby Oil a go to see if it keeps my skin moisturized in the sun.

Mitchum Deodrant is the only one i can trust, especially in the summer heat. That's all.

One of my must have's an a great all rounder is the Banana Boat Aloe Vera Gel. Aloe Vera Gel is great for many many things so I use it all the time. It's great as an after sun as it soothes your exposed skin and it's also great for clearing your skin.

My all time favourite moisturizer is Nivea Soft Moisturizing Cream. It's the first one I ever used and I still haven't found anything that keeps my skin mositurised this well. You can use it all over your body but I just use it for my face.

For most people now the summer has begun and whilst people are starting to go away I'm still patiently waiting in my room until August begins and all my holidays come around. During this free time it's almost become a personal goal for me to binge watch TV shows. I am definitely more of a series person than a movie person. There's more of it to watch and who doesn't love to be so emotionally attached to characters, after 100,000 hours of viewing, so that if they die you are seriously considering starting a national holiday to mourn their death?!

Anyway, my main years of serial watching has lead me to watch quite a few shows and I thought I would share my opinion and picks with you of what I think you should binge watch this summer holiday:

1. Teen Wolf 


    I have just started watching this just under a week ago and I'm on Season 4 now (some serious serial watching, I'm not even ashamed) and I frickin LOVE it! The show is about a social outcast called Scott McCall (Tyler Posey) who becomes a werewolf after he is bitten by one. The series follows him and his friends Stiles, Lydia, Allison and Derek (introducing other new characters as the seasons go on) as he faces the challenges and new powers that come along with him being a werewolf. This is such an addictive show because although it still has the serious and dark side shows about the supernatural does, it's well balanced by constant comedy and humor from the character, especially Stile's sarcasm. (P.S this show has so much character development its's unreal.)


2. Breaking Bad 


My all time favourite show. EVER. I love it so much. A chemistry teacher gets diagnosed with cancer so starts making meth with the help of one of his old pupils after he finds out how much money can be made from it. I'm still trying to convince all my friends to watch it as admittedly the first few episodes and some of season 2 is hard to get through but it's so worth it in the end. Again another show with character development which sends your emotions towards characters all over the place. If you don't love the character of Jesse Pinkman then you are crazy.


3.Game of Thrones


A very long programme but all of it is faultless. If you can get past the ridiculously complicated character names then you are in for a treat. If I was to give you a brief summary of this programme we could be hear for days so I'll condense it down A LOT... Nine families fight for control of the land Westeros (The houses are Stark, Lannister, Baratheon, Targaryen, Greyjoy, Tully, Arryn, Tyrell and Martell). This leads to a great war. In the north, a very ancient evil awakens. There is also a neglected military order, the Night's Watch, who are guarding the realms of men from icy horrors beyond The Wall. Even if you aren't into mythical stuff you are guaranteed to love this programme.

4. Parks and Recreation


Possibly the funniest programme ever created. Staring the even funnier Amy Poehler and the coolest men in the world Chris Pratt and Nick Offerman, this show is about the Parks and Recreation department in the fictional town of Pawnee, Indiana. This show is the most genius idea ever and if you don't find it funny we can't be friends, seriously, there is humour for EVERYONE in here. EVERYONE.


5. Orphan Black


This is a short but sweet show compared to the other ones I've suggested as it's just finished it's third season which I am still yet to watch. A woman names Sarah witnesses the suicide of a woman that looks exactly like her. She decideds to take on this woman's identity and try and live her life finding out more about herself and many others along the way. This wasn't at all what I expected when I first watched it but it's still brilliant and I need to hurry up and watch the third series.

It's my favourite time of month again, where I share what I have been loving and lusting over for the past few weeks. It's like you're there with me on my daily dose of  'online shopping' with an empty bank account.

Now I am not normally a 'girly' person and there would have been a time where you would not have caught me ever in a skirt or dress as jeans and shorts where the only way for me. But, with age, I have seen the light and realised that not only are skirts the cutest things ever, but also they can also sometimes be more flattering than a pair of jeans, because let's be honest, it covers the shape of your thighs and who doesn't want that?!

These many hours that have been spent trailing through various websites have lead me to a wishlist of my favourite skirts from the ever so fabulous website, ASOS. A-Line's and Mini skirts will always be a favourite of mine but I can't help but fall for the midi trend.

With finishing my current college and sorting out my new college for next year, and with the start of summer arriving, I've been lacking on my blog A LOT!

Now that I am truly settled into summer and relaxed until August when holidays and festivals are filling my month (literally) I wanted to up my blogging game and get out those frequent posts like I've been meaning too.

As much as this post was somewhat of an apology for abandoning my blog it was also to express a recent feeling which after the past few days I have been feeling and how happy and content I am with life.

A goal in life with me is to truly feel happy with life when it comes to my friends, myself and feeling like I'm actually creating memories. These past few days have been packed with me hanging out with friends, going to different places (spontaneous and planned) and it's been how I've wanted my life to be like for years!

I've always seen people with this somewhat 'tumblr' life but I've never personally ever felt near to it until this week. A mix of Alton Towers, gatherings with friends (old and new), wood walks, Warwickshire pride and Godiva festival have filled up my past few days  and left me rather content. While embracing the moments I actually didn't take any photos as I neglected my phone and really concentrated on just having a good time.

I am so ready for August now when my holidays and festivals come around! These past few days have made me realise that making memories, making moments last and living in the moment is what life is all about.
