Over the past few weeks, and maybe month, I've been slowly collecting new pieces of clothing for the summer and my holidays. It's taken me a while and I still have a dose of last minute shopping to do but I thought I'd share with you what i have got so far and hopefully give you some inspiration.
Vest tops are not only a staple wardrobe piece but perfect for summer. I like to stock up on as many as I can because I know that I will live in them and they're comfortable to layer at night. These three are from Primark. The black and blue ones (here) are of a floaty and light material perfect for keeping cool, and the grey shade vest (similar here) is of a thin knit which will loom great dressed up at night.
I am very fussy when it comes to pants/bottoms stemming from how concious I am about my legs. It takes a lot for me to find something I feel comfortable and confident in. This mint green skort from Primark (similar shorts here) is definitely something that used to be waayy out of my comfort zone but this year I am determined to rock. I like the colors and although it's bright it;s not too in your face. I am the worse when it comes to buying shorts especially but these bad-boys could do no wrong. The ripped mom shorts from Topshop (here) are my lifesaver, my god send and I have already worn them to death. They look great with everything, make your legs look great and are sooo comfy.
These two shirts are some of my most recent buys and I am soooo in love with them...it's slightly unhealthy. The first is a cropped printed tee which I got from Cow in Birmingham (similar here), an amazing vintage shop. I love tee's which have massive logo's on the back and little logos on the front and this one was perfect. It's very cropped but sits perfectly at the waist on my jeans and shorts. I will be wearing this non-stop. The next is this grogeous black and white print shirt from Forever 21 (here), as soon as I saw it I new I had to try it on and buy it. I've been looking for a nice printed shirt for so long and I'd never found my perfect one until now.
Bikini's are yet another thing I struggle with and every year I have to buy new ones because lasts years just don't fit the bill. From Sainsburys (similar here) actually I got this blue with black detailing bikini. I love this style and when I saw this I knew it was a steal. The neckline is detachable so you can also go strapless. Plain black bikini's are always safe and this twisted black bikini is from primark (similar here). LBP (Little Black Bikini).
A little for the evening and I wanted something that wasn't too heavy for a cover up. Both of these are from primark and they will go any time of the day. Long cardigans are a classic and I love the khaki green colour (similar here), while kimonos are a massive summer trend, and this lacey burgundy piece (here) is perfect for any summer look.
