First Christmas Haul 2015
16:45
November 1st has arrived, and so has my passion for Christmas. I'm the kind of person who's excited for Christmas all year round but truly reveals my true love for the season when it becomes socially acceptable to start going crazy, which for me is the day after Halloween. I haven't banged out the Christmas tunes just yet but I have started decoration and Christmas gift wrap shopping and I couldn't be happier. As this time of year I thought I'd share the first few bits I've bought so people who start Christmas shopping at a 'normal time' have some inspiration.
Me and my mum went a LITTLE crazy in The Range and picked out a few bits to set the scene of the theme of our decorations this year. We've gone for a rustic country theme, with lots of red, cream, wood and hessian.
There's a lot of wood and red and fabric on our tree this year! We wanted a real warm country home feel this Christmas. The reindeer and ice skates where far too cute not to get! I am obsessed with the wooden hearts too, even after Christmas has come and gone, I'm going to hang them round the house anyway!
In general I am not the biggest fan of tinsel whether it's on a Christmas tree, or hanging around the home because I feel it can make some which could look cute or elegant really tacky, so instead I've gone for a thick, multi string ribbon with hessian, and bead and stars. It's a really simplistic alternative to tinsel.
Being vegan means advent calendars are out of the question, but that doesn't bother me because this Fleece Boots Advent Calendar is SO much cuter and honestly one of my favourite things I have ever owned for Christmas! You can fill whatever you want in each stocking for you to pick out each day, 24 days of different and unique surprises lay ahead...so much better than a tiny piece of chocolate.
Wrapping presents of any kind is something I love to do, especially Christmas ones. I try and be really creative and spend so much time making each present look cute even though I know that a few days later all the hours spent is going to be wasted.
The gift wrap this year definitely ties in with the theme we have around the house and the matte tones of red, brown and green just look so perfect at this time of year. I can't wait to give people these cards and get creative with the paper, bows and tags.
Does anyone else share my insane love for Christmas?
