Charity Shop & Car Boot Haul

13:34

For the past few weeks I've been away on holiday with about 2 days free in between and with college slowly creeping up on me it was about time I got some blog posts out again.

As much as I love high street shops, I have found myself becoming a lot more savvy (even more than I usually am) and I have really grown a new love for Charity Shops and Car Boots. I am a firm believer that you don't have to spend a fortune or 'retail price' to get the look you want and there are alternatives everywhere! After one successful trip to the charity shops one day it really peaked my interest to try and make charity shop shopping a regular thing. I have always found Charity Shops an amazing opportunity for you to give them old possessions for someone else to one day own and for you to also take home a gem whilst your money goes to charity. That being said I thought i'd show you some of the things I've picked up on my trips to charity shops and car boots, to show you don't have to spend a lot to create an outfit you love.

Denim on Denim: Charity shops are the best way to stop yourself paying £40-£50 on vintage style denim pieces.
(Classic Denim Jacket = £8.00 - Green Denim Jacket = £2.00 - Mom Jeans = £2.25- Denim Shorts = £0.50)

Autumn is just around the corner so I've been taking the opportunity to get my jumpers and  cardigans.
(Brown/Orange Jumper = £1.75 - Green and White Cardigan = £2.00 - Orange/White/Blue Cardigan = £4.75)

You can spend £20 on a vintage looking logo t-shirt at some places but if you look hard enough you can find what your looking for for way way less.
(Basic Black T-shirt = £0.75 - Longhorns T-Shirt = £0.75 - Airforce T-Shirt = £1.00 - Orange Striped T-Shirt = £0.50 )

Have you ever found any charity shops gems or love to shop their yourself?

  1. You've been pretty successful in your shopping! I'm pretty impressed! The charity shops around me don't tend to be terribly interesting to me. One shop in particular has pieces that seem to have come out of the 70s - always. That said, a shop I went to occasionally in the city where my university was located did have some nice things!
